Wheaton, IL – February 11, 2026 — The DuPage Regional Office of Education (ROE) is pleased to announce a $75,000 donation from DuPage Credit Union to support its Parents as Teachers program, which serves families with young children across DuPage County. The contribution allowed the ROE to distribute $500 Visa® gift cards to qualifying low-income families to help meet essential needs.
In addition to this recent contribution, DuPage Credit Union provided $15,000 in additional support to the DuPage ROE in December 2025.
As a local affiliate of Parents as Teachers, the DuPage ROE delivers a no-cost, evidence-based home visiting program for families with children from prenatal stages through age three. The program pairs families with trained parent educators who provide guidance on early childhood development, school readiness, developmental screenings, and connections to community resources, while also supporting strong and healthy parent-child relationships.
“Investing in our youngest learners and their families is essential to building a strong educational foundation,” said Amber Quirk, regional superintendent of schools for DuPage County. “We are grateful for the generous support from DuPage Credit Union, which allows us to extend critical resources and services to families who need them most.”
Rhonda Eubanks, program director of Parents as Teachers at the DuPage ROE, agrees. “These gift cards offer meaningful, flexible support for families who are facing financial challenges. They allow families to address their most immediate needs, whatever those may be,” she said.
The DuPage ROE has partnered with DuPage Credit Union since 2014 on a variety of community-focused initiatives. One longstanding collaboration is the annual We’ve Got Your Back backpack fundraiser, which has generated more than $125,000 to help provide school supplies for students in need throughout the county.
