TIDE course participation is limited to individuals who hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL). Substitute teaching license holders (SUB) are not eligible. Educators need not live or work in DuPage County to take TIDE courses.
Courses offered via our university partnerships with Aurora University, Benedictine University, Lewis University, National-Louis University and University of St. Francis produce semester hours of graduate school credit. Course work completed is documented on university partner official transcripts of academic performance.
Current tuition rates for Aurora and Benedictine Universities are $175 per semester credit; e.g., a three-credit course would have a tuition cost of $525.00. Tuition rates for Lewis University and University of St. Francis are $225.00 per semester credit. Tuition rates vary with the course at National-Louis University. Tuition rates are printed in the TIDE Course Catalog. Financial Aid is not available for TIDE courses.
Text and Material Fees. Unless otherwise specified, textbooks are required at the student’s expense. Once the student’s course registration is completed a confirmation email from the DuPage Regional Office of Education TIDE program will identify required textbooks. Course materials fees are in addition to textbooks and are determined depending on the nature of the course. The material fee, if required will be included in the tuition price listed in the catalog and online for each course and will be paid at the time of registration.
The DuPage Regional Office of Education’s TIDE program seeks to offer Educators a variety of courses which lead to endorsements on their Teaching Licenses.
